Most people who live in Japan use Pixiv.net or Tegaki rather than deviantart.

I live in Japan and use DA. I also use Pixiv but Pixiv doesn't encourage discussions or let you make changes to an image.

This is a nice idea! Kinda reminds me of when we used to be able to find neighboring deviants; only they weren't just in your watch-list.
