The shallow DoF and clear focus adds to the effect of the image.
Interestingly, the lone water droplet contrasts with the sharp dryness of the surrounding leaf.
The tinges of red at the bottom of the leaf could have been an underlying colour throughout the image, but is a little hidden in amongst the shadows.
